Located in the northeast section of the lake, the Small Cave Shrine presents a unique stone dais device that locks away a critical quest item. Mastering this puzzle involves identifying painted yellow symbols hidden around the environment from specific perspectives to unlock the sealed doorway.

Where to Find the Small Cave Shrine

To reach the Small Cave Shrine, players must first secure the motorized boat after defeating Del Lago and exploring the lake. Steer your vessel directly toward the northeast corner of the main body of water to discover a small wooden dock. Stepping ashore leads directly into a compact cave system devoid of hostile enemies, allowing you to focus entirely on solving the riddle.

How to Find the Secret Yellow Symbols

Unlike standard code puzzles, the clues in the Small Cave Shrine rely heavily on visual perspective tricks across the rock walls and wooden structures. The first symbol is clearly visible on the stone wall immediately beside the ladder near the entrance. The second symbol requires climbing the ladder to align painted markings on the wooden paneling with rock formations in the background. To view the final symbol correctly, walk toward the upper doorway and look back across the wooden beams to reveal the complete image.

Correct Stone Dais Combination

Once you have identified all three clues, return to the stone pedestal device at the bottom of the shrine. You will need to press three specific buttons on the eight-symbol console to unlock the mechanism. The required inputs are the bottom-left symbol, the left symbol, and the bottom-right symbol. Pressing these three dials opens the door, allowing you to retrieve the Blasphemer's Head key item and Hexagon Piece C.

Using the Blasphemer's Head

Obtaining the Blasphemer's Head satisfies half of the requirement to access the church where Ashley is held captive. Players must combine this item with the Apostate's Head, which is collected by solving the corresponding puzzle at the Large Cave Shrine.
